Pre-School update! [January]

"Be ready to do whatever is good." Titus 3:1

This month they are focusing on "Winter Wonderland"! They will introduce concepts of animal adaption, migration and hibernation. They will discuss what fun things they can do in the winter. And they will read books involving winter concepts. Towards the end of the month, they will focus on "Community Helpers" and pretend to have different jobs. They will have a fire fighter come visit, as well! They will learn to recognize and say their last name!

In the Bible, they will learn that Jesus grew from a baby to a boy to a man. Jesus chose helpers. Jesus loved all people. Jesus helped people and told them about God's love.

In the sensory table, they will explore with packing "peanuts", shaving cream, ice, polar animals, water and fishing!

The school will be closed on Monday, January 17th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. As well as on Monday, January 31st for a staff day.

Also next week they are sending home registration sheets for the next school year [2011-2012]! For the 4 year old programs, they offer 4 days or 5 days a week. The cost of tutition is $30-65 a month more than what we are paying this year. Though, I thought about checking into other church pre-schools, I really love her school- she's already been going there for 2 years and it's her last year of pre-school so why change it now? Now we just need to decide how many days a week she will go. I'm thinking we'll sign her up for 4 days/week that way we have one day a week we can do what we want and don't have to rush around in the morning to get to school on time!
