Well we are slowly getting there but there just seems like there is so much that needs to be done before the fun can begin! The day after Thanksgiving, Mom came over and we painted the rest of the walls blue. It was raining that day so it was pretty humid so it took forever to dry. Mom waited about an hour to see if we could do the 2nd coat but it wasn't dry. Later on in the week, Jacob painted the 2nd coat. Saturday, I removed the paint tape off the baseboards and trim. Yesterday, Jacob removed the current closet shelving/rack and [eventually] the closet doors. Also he painted the baseboards and trim. He had some issues in the closet and ended up putting some holes in the wall so he had to patch them up and spackle so the closet won't get painted til Jacob can get around to do it.
It'll be a couple more weeks before we can get the new closet shelving and closet doors [and probably won't be installed til after we get back from IL]. Also we are waiting for the electrician to come install the ceiling fan/ light, which will hopefully be done sometime this month. And in a couple weeks, we should be able to order the changing table/dresser and put the crib back together [which is currently Kylie's toddler bed] and get those set-up in his room. Once Jacob gets the inside of the closet painted, I'm going to clean the floors real good then lay down the big area rug for the room, which I canNOT wait to see in there!
On a side note: we are getting Kylie a real big girl bed, a twin bed with new bedding! I can't wait to order all of it and she'll be getting some new stuff in her room along with baby brother!
