First week....

So Kylie only went to school two days this week but she had a great first week! After her first day, she eventually told me she played doctor and wanted to do that again. Today, when I dropped her off her teacher told her some fun things they were going to do today. I told her teacher that she told me she played doctor and she said she did and that she really enjoyed doing that. Also her teacher said the kids were so good the first day that she was actually able to take some pictures of them playing throughout the morning. So I can't wait to see the pictures! When I picked Kylie up today and asked her what she did, she said she rode bikes outside on the sidewalk. Today, we had a gorgeous, fall-like day so I bet they enjoyed their outside time!

Also, Kylie's teacher has been keeping us, parents, updated through emails. And that is really helpful and nice. I really like her teacher this year and I am so excited for Kylie to learn and have so much fun this school year!

The teacher asked us to decorate a square of paper with things that describe our child then she will make one big quilt of everyone from the class! It took me a little longer to complete so I have to turn it in on Monday. :) But I really like how it turned out! What do you think?

What a busy day.... Kylie had her 1st soccer practice today at 5:30! She did really good at listening to Coach Shannon and doing most everything she asked of her. At times, she would start daydreaming [that's Kylie for you!] but she did so good and it was so cute seeing them run around the field.

They are having a Kick-off Celebration on Saturday, the 11th with a lot of fun things to do all day! Hope we can make it!

Pre-school update! [September]

For the month of September, the Three Year Olds have a lot of fun things planned! This week they are going over Rules & Procedures and are following a take home paper book called "Bono the Monkey". We'll read that together before bed. At the end of it, there are questions we ask Kylie about the story.

In the follwing weeks, they are doing a Pond theme and talking about The Gingerbread Man, having a Shape Campout and at the end of the week baking Smores! At the end of the month, starts their Apple Unit and each child has to bring in an apple and at the end of the week [beginning of October] they are going to bake apple pies! YUM!

Sounds like such a fun beginning to the school year! I'm so excited for all the fun things Kylie will do. We just love her school!

Kylie's 1st Day of Pre-school!!!

Today was Kylie's 1st day of Pre-school in her new 3 year old class!!! She was SO excited to start school again!

When I dropped her off, she wanted me to go with her to wash her hands and then as soon as she did that, she sat down at the table with play-doh and gave us a kiss and we left. At pick-up, Kylie was excited to see me when I came into her classroom. When I asked her what she did, she didn't really say much. She said she had fun, though! And her teacher said she had a good day!

Botanical Gardens

We had a playdate today at Botanical Gardens with Nicole, Haylee, Brandi and her sons, Cole & Cason. We hadn't gotten together with Brandi and her boys in quite a while so it was good to get the kids together again. We are hoping to get together a couple times a month! Since the summer is over, they are starting to take down the Enchanted Storybook Forest but the houses were still up so the kids got to go in each one and had a lot of fun!
