Kylie had her Valentine's Day card exchange today at school and she got tons of goodies! Kylie brought individual cupcakes for her friends and teachers. And Kylie made something very special at school for Mommy & Daddy!

Pre-School update! [February]

We play together as friends- Friends are special to us!

Becuase of the big snow storm, there was no school last week. For the month of February, the color is PINK and the shape is a HEART. They will also be learning the story of Ruth.

On Wednesday, the kids will be doing a Valentine's Day card exchange! Kylie already picked out her cards- they have a colorful butterfly with a butterfly tatttoo and a heart sticker to seal them shut. Kylie is also going to make confetti cupcakes with pink icing topped with a heart candy, and bring them to her teachers & friends in a Valentine's Day bag! Pictures to come!

And if you haven't heard the good news by now..... Kylie got into the M,W,F 3 year old class in the Fall!!!!! Even though, the tutition is more than we were expecting [inflation!], we are so happy she's able to go to this Pre-school again next year. We really love it there!

I LOVE them!!!!

Snow Storm!!!

So we can hardly believe our eyes- we actually got snow! And not just our normal dusting but roughly 6 inches [give or take some] and for this area, it only happens every couple years!!!! We pretty much consider this a blizzard and shut down the whole city for days! It's very exciting at first but now we are all ready for it to melt away and get back to our normal VA weather.


Friday night before I put Kylie to bed, I told her that when she woke up there would be snow outside! So Saturday morning, there was already a couple inches on the ground, I was so excited for her to wake up. When she finally did, I went in her room and asked her if she remembered what I told her would be outside when she woke up. It took her a while to remember then she said 'SNOW!'. So we ran to the back door and she was excited to see snow on the ground and snow still coming down pretty hard! She wanted to go play in it right away. About an hour later, we decided to bundle up and go out there, even though the snow was still coming down and it was windy. But Kylie had fun!
